Okay, so since creating the ginger one I am all about the elixirs. Finding fresh organic turmeric root in the market was the key to making this yellow-orange, super-spiced elixir. It should work well for headaches and other anti-inflammatory needs...
Turmeric Elixir:
4" fresh organic turmeric root (grated)
juice from 1/2 organic lemon
1 cup organic coconut water
1 pinch cayenne pepper
1 pinch Himalayan Salt
Caution: Turmeric stains; believe my turmeric stained fingers, food processor and toothbrush.
In a high speed blender or Vitamix, combine the ingredients in in the above order. Mix from low speed to high, spending 20 seconds on the highest speed.
As with the ginger elixir, try a few ounces of this drink added to hot water for an eye opening tea.
